As a member of the Army Reserve, you can serve Canada part-time in your own community. The typical part-time work commitment is four evenings (Thursdays) and one weekend per month. During the summer, you may have the opportunity to attend short-term full time courses.
You may also be able to take part in missions at home in Canada or overseas. In emergency situations or national incidents, the Reserve Force can be called in to active duty with the Regular Force - but as a Reservist, the choice to participate in any operation away from home is always yours.
Many Reservists have full-time careers outside the Canadian Armed Forces in a wide range of civilian occupations, while many are full-time students.
Post-secondary fees up to $,000 per year for a maximum of $,8000 (conditions apply).
