Due to an upcoming retirement, Valley Refrigeration has an opening for a well experienced HVAC Manager. This is a full-time position. The HVAC Manager will lead a team of HVAC technicians to install, repair, service and maintain our residential client’s HVAC systems in an efficient and timely manner.

As the HVAC Manager, you must work closely with the service and installation technicians, administrative staff and suppliers to provide accurate information for our customers.  To ensure continued customer loyalty, the HVAC Manager as a representative of the company, must provide clear, concise communications and information to our customers.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Assist the administrative staff with the dispatching of service calls and installation projects;
• Review service and maintenance work orders daily, and address necessary repairs immediately;
• Prepare residential service repair quotes;
• Order and track materials required for quoted repairs and residential installations;
• Communicate and provide updates on supply issues to administrative staff and customers;
• Daily job site monitoring;
• Weekly vehicle inspections;
• Maintain a clean and organized shop;
• Receive residential equipment and parts, and manage residential inventory;
• Oversee inventory management ensuring adequate supplies for seamless operations;
• Comply with service standards, work instructions, and customer requirements;
• Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act;
• Provide technical support to the residential team;
• Perform other tasks and responsibilities as required to maintain efficient department operations;

• Licensed Sheet Metal and Gas Fitter certification with 8-10 years of experience in the HVAC trade
• A strong understanding of the challenges that occur in the HVAC trade
• Excellent organizational skills, communication skills, and problem solving skills
• Proven customer service experience as a manager
• A strong customer-focused mentality
• Proficient in reading and understanding schematics and work plans
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Management skills
• A valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
• A forklift licence is an asset
