Community Care City of Kawartha Lakes (CCCKL) is a community care health and care network which has provided home support to seniors and people with special needs for over 25 years. We have grown and developed into a well-established and comprehensive community health and support organization. CCCKL offers a full range of community services delivered by a diverse team of professionals. Our clients are at the centre of everything we do. We have four key program areas that serve local residents of all ages - the community health centre, community support services, a community dental clinic, and hospice services.

We are currently recruiting for a Chief Executive Officer. This is an amazing opportunity for a leader who can deliver on the organization’s bold vision of the future.

The ideal candidate has a demonstrated track record, as an experienced, collaborative leader who can work with the Board to execute our 2016-2020 Strategic Plan. The new CEO will lead the completion of a major capital project in 2018-19 which will provide a new Community Health Centre as the first phase of CCCKL’s vision to advance the development of a community hub. The CEO will build and strengthen relationships with our partners across the Central East LHIN to implement CCCKL’s priority initiatives and create a fully integrated health and care network for City of Kawartha Lakes.

The scope of accountabilities includes:

  • Inspires and motivates teams through collaboration, innovation and self confidence
  • Builds strong relationships using highly developed communication skills
  • Advocates and resolves conflicts 
  • Anticipates and identifies risks
  • Leads and manages the strategic direction established by the Board of Directors
  • Supports the Board of Directors in all matters related to strategy, governance and administration
  • Directs fiscal management and the preparation of budgets
  • Oversees the effective day-to-day operation of the organization
  • Fosters collaboration and strong partnerships
  • Advocates in support of the organization’s goals
  • Represents and promotes the organization and is the chief spokesperson and ambassador.
  • Ensures effective monitoring and evaluation strategies are in place to promote a continuous quality improvement culture throughout the organization.
  • Direct a learning culture and environment across the organization.
  • Direct implementation of policies and processes to ensure support of organizational strategies and adherence with legislation.
  • Fundraises and promotes philanthropy as the lead executive for the Foundation Board
  • Directs capital planning
Qualifications

As a potential candidate, you are a strong leader with a master’s degree in a related field and significant senior management experience of over 10 years preferably in a community based health care environment. You have a demonstrated track record of building a strong operational structure.  

Your experience and knowledge include: 

  • An ability to navigate government organizations and networks (LHINs, MOHLTC, municipalities)
  • Solid financial management and budgeting skills
  • Superior project management skills with proven achievements in relevant areas
  • Planning skills to design and implement new programs in response to community needs
  • Computer proficiency

The position requires an innovative thinker, who can execute large initiatives and balance these against the daily operational requirements of the organization.  The successful candidate will be a high energy leader who can inspire people to higher levels of performance.  He or she will have superior interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating compassion and genuine value for people.
